About the Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

The Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons was founded in 1948 with the following objectives:

To promote and advance the art and science of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
To encourage continuing education and research
To promise unity and harmony among its members
To cooperate with other dental societies and positive collaboration with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston
To enlighten the health professions and the general public in matters relating to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
